RIOU Glass in Korea

Last October, RIOU Glass proudly learned that they were selected for inclusion, along with 19 other finalists, in the 3rd edition of the Accélérateur ETI – a Bpifrance 24-month targeted support service programme - for French companies selected for their growth, aimed at boosting their development.

The French glass manufacturer would thus be part of a group of 20 businesses representing the numerous business sectors who share the following priorities and expectations: operational performance, external growth, digital transformation or even strategic guidance.

As part of this program, Bpifrance typically organizes a traveling educational seminar and this year it has chosen to take all of the participants to Korea.

Selected as « the most innovative economy » for the 6th consecutive year, South Korea has exceptional technological savvy that the French management was able to grasp during their visits: the world leader in semi-conductors, this country makes massive investments in 5G, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and virtual reality, and has made it its goal to become the nation at the helm of the 4th industrial revolution.

11 French ETI industrial managers, representing 2.3 billion CA and 14,000 employees, had the opportunity to visit 6 sites, listen to speakers offering feedback and qualitative or quantitative analysis of local organisations, as well as took advantage of numerous interactions with local actors.

For RIOU Glass, represented by its President, Pierre Riou and Vice-President Christine Riou Feron, “each moment spent with our accelerated counterparts was, moreover, a chance to turn our growth trajectory upwards”.
