RIOU Glass AIV is a major player in the glass sector based at Fougères in Brittany.
Through continuous innovation of its products RIOU Glass AIV adds to the ever-increasing know-how of the RIOU Glass group. It is developing today intelligent glazing solutions for tomorrow; products such as the CalorGlass heated glazing systems.
This 11,000 m2 facility was set up in 1964, and also specialises in the production of toughened glass, enamelled glass and screen-printed glazing products, as well as in precision cutting for the building and transportation sectors (buses, agricultural machinery, rail and maritime industries etc.).
The Fougères-based company was founded in 1964, and in 1998 merged with the Japanese company AGC (Asahi Glass Company) to form AGC-AIV. The facility was acquired by the RIOU Glass group in 2017. It was renamed AIV (Applications Industrielles de Verre), and then became RIOU Glass AIV.
